About Our Site-Home Education Connections 

     This article is to inform my site visitors about our Home Education Connections website. This website is designed to assist parents who choose to home school their children in providing the best possible education for their children by providing them with knowledge and resources normally only available to public school teachers. The products and services offered on this website include an education consulting service,  school supply products, and curriculum programs to enhance your home school programs.   We include information about teaching the different subject areas to increase the home school parent's knowledge about child development and teaching strategies

     The website is designed to “empower home school and all parents with the knowledge and tools needed to better serve their children’s diverse  education needs.” According to Hilary Clinton “it takes a village to raise a child.” The website advocates this philosophy and therefore created a message board where home schoolparents can forge connections with other and their children can form connections to other attending childrenhome school. Part of this connections building is the opportunities the website will provide from time to time where home school students can participate in science fairs, poetry and writing contests, writing to e-mail pen pals, etc. These types of connections are vital in raising well rounded children.

     One of the arguments made by opponents of home school is that children who are home schooled lack social skills but it doesn’t have to be so. Community opportunities to enroll children in sports, theatre, dance and gymnastics are available in even most smaller towns. The site educates parents on where to go to find these resources for their children to participate in. Whatever the interest of your children, there is always something out there that caters to that interest. Many parents only lack the knowledge to find those resources.

     The site invites parents to add content such as lesson plans, teaching tips and ideas, and articles to share their knowledge and experience with other home school parents. No one person possesses all the knowledge necessary to the education of children but through our home school connections community we can find the knowledge and resources necessary to home school our children with confidence. Welcome to the Home School Connections community.
